Working with Horses, is for me "The dream",
I love It, and long may it last, That said i could spend days and days typing Stories that would make the best of us question the sanity in having anything at all to do with them.It has become clear to me over the years That The poor Old horse is very often misunderstood, and i learnt that the hard way, but i will say quite openly that I have seen or used just about every technique known to man in trying to achieve a said aim with horses, but over the 10 years I have leant So much that it's just not funny,
Today i like to Follow the Principle's given to me by Several American Natural Horseman.
Why might you need me? Well I can almost guarantee that the problem is not the horse? Well rarley!, The main problem is the owner/trainer/handler or Rider, When i have gone out to help with a Problem Horse (As they are so Often referred to) I Find that I spend Most of my time training the person to do the job!
And that is my Style, It's no good sending me a Horse or Pony to Fix the problem to hear a month down the line, that the Said animal has reverted to Type. I like to work with the Partnership to pass on what i know, and nothing give's me greater pleasure than to see the beam on an owner's face when an issue is fixed very quickly! What can we Fix? What will it Cost? Well I will always charge Travel and an Initial evaluation fee of £60 within a 50 mile radius, I will start to scratch my head if it's any further than that :-), from there It's up to How well you take on Board the skills I teach you.
Be warned! I am a Down to earth Chap, i say it how i see it, I will Explain the Situation!, I will demonstrate the Fix, then I will expect you to imintate the skill! All hands on Deck lol.
