The Friesian Horse is one of the Oldest and most Domesticated Breed's in the whole of Europe
It is Native to the Province of Friesland in the norther Nertherlands, though it's Strict breeding is coverted across the whole of Holland.
In recent years the Friesian has gained great acclaim, and what was once a breed close to extinction it's future now seems assured.
Whilst the Friesian was once used greatly in agricutrual work it is now Prized for it's unparraled presence in Carridge and The dressage arena.
The Modern Friesian Horse is a Direct desendant from the Horses that Medival knights used to ride into battle famed for thier Extream bravery and strong bone, the horse of today retain's it's ability to carry and pull great wieght.
The Friesian Registrey which is based in the Netherlands maintain's Very Strict Standards Especially for Stallions Approved Stallions are juged on Confirmation, Movment and Progeny, and an approved Stallion is highly prized by the dedicated Breeder's in the netherlands.
Whilst many many years ago a friesian Horse could be found in several colour's, now the Only acceptable colour is Black,
Black or even Black, No White is allowed and cross breeding is fround upon, a few white hairs are acceptable, though White spot's or stars are not.
